TC WINTER SESSION - Stressed Teens Class

From 4:00PM to 6:00PM

Stressed Teens, (otherwise known as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens - MBSR-T), is an 8-week evidenced-based, group-based, and highly experiential class that was adapted from the adult MBSR program founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn. This class runs from January 18th through March 15th on Wednesday afternoons.In this class teens will be introduced to mindfulness and meditation practices and learn about the profound benefits of integrating mindfulness and other healthy lifestyle practices into their daily routine Dates:            Wednesdays -                                   Jan. 25th  -March 22nd  4:00-6:00pm Program Cost:Flexible Tuition  Reduced Rates Available! Garfield AveTraverse City Mindfulness strengthens our ability to pay attention to the present moment; to notice our thoughts, feelings and physical sensations – with curiosity and without judgment. When inspiring awareness through mindfulness - instead of reacting Mindlessly, we respond Mindfully! Using mindfulness practices, teens in the MBSR-T class will gain practical skills to help them be able to regulate their emotions and navigate through life’s inevitable challenges and daily stressors. Teens will also learn about the body-mind connection and how leading a healthy lifestyle can positively impact their physical and emotional well-being through; · regular exercise· daily physical activity · healthy nutrition · proper sleep hygiene · thoughtful use of technology · self-kindness and self-compassion· mindfulness and meditation

Lake Leelanau- St. Mary School Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser

Join us for an evening of community during catholic schools week: spaghetti supper, tours of the school & enrollment information along with a basketball skills competition! Jim & Rachel ('94 alumna) Plamondon have 3 children attending St. Mary School. Jim recently had a construction accident that will take many months to recover from. St. Mary is here to take care pf our extended family by helping offset some costs during Jim's recovery.

SHEPHERD Cribbage

The Mt Pleasant Peggers (club #329), a Mount Pleasant Cribbage group, meets every Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. at The Shepherd Bar & Grill, 324 W. Wright St, Shepherd, MI. The Mt Pleasant Peggers are always welcoming cribbage players of all ages and ability for their nine game, tournament style sets. Enjoy a fun time with other local cribbage players and grab a bite to eat from the grill.Our club is part of a national organization called the American Cribbage Congress (ACC). There are roughly 200 clubs across the country that make up the ACC's local Grass Roots division. Being part of the ACC means the club plays by a standard set of rules, so if there are any questions about how something should work there is always an easy way to get questions answered.Please join us if you have played Cribbage or would like to learn the game.
